Lunch will be served at 11:30 AND snacks will be served at 1:00
*Lunches begin June 23. There will be no meals or program on July 4.

The Y will be "Serving up Summer" at these six locations throughout the city:

CATCH YOUTH PROGRAM

CATCH (Coordinated Approach To Child Health) is an evidence-based Coordinated School Health Program designed to promote physical activity, healthy food choices, and prevent tobacco use in elementary school-aged children. By teaching children that eating healthy and being physically active everyday can be FUN, the CATCH Program has proven that establishing healthy habits in childhood can promote behavior changes that can last a lifetime.


CATCH is offered 4-8pm Monday through Friday and 8-11am on Saturday. FREE dinner is provided weekdays at 5:30pm. Physical activities weekdays 4-5pm and arts & crafts 6-8pm and on Saturdays.


Monday & Wednesday - Swimming (pack a suit and a towel)
Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 4-5pm- Gym Activities (please wear appropriate shoes)
Evenings & Saturday - Arts, crafts and games (Improve motor & thinking skills)

AFTERCARE - AGES 5-12
A great program for children ages 5-12 that are in need of aftercare after school. The program offers assistance with homework, tutoring, swimming, group activities, nutritional workshops, and a healthy snack and dinner. Transportation is available from St. Nicholas School, Kistler Elementary, and Dana Street Elementary. The program cost includes early dismissals.

Program is offered 3:00-6:00pm
Coordinated Child Care Accepted

Scholarships available upon request
Keystone Star and DPW Licensed Facility
Snow days are available for $10/day No transportation on snow days
Holiday Camps will be available at Y Member rate$75 Full Week$50 Part-Time (3 days or less per week)

FREE TUTORING

The Wilkes-Barre Family YMCA is now offering FREE tutoring for children on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:00pm-7:00pm from September through May. This service is provided by students from Wilkes University. Call 570-970-5041 for more information.
